I spent about a year deciding on my exhaust, i settled on BUBS jug huggers. They have a deep throaty sound and a nice flow with the bike. The harley guys have to look twice when they hear it coming. Good luck in your search, maby you should try fitting the roadhouse again before you box them up for good. roadhog1

Jason
Here is a link to what the freedom duels sound like. I'm on my 3rd set of pipes and these are the best quality pipes I have found to date. And as Mark said it's only an opinion.

FWIW, I have the Santee Sportster style tapered tip muffler exhaust and I'd have to say it sounds like the clip hardone2get posted.

Check out eBay if you're interested. they were $170 and very light weight in comparison to the factory mufflers.

I'll have a pic here one day.

If you are looking for some decent slip-ons , try the Khromewerks in tapered or slash cut. At $100 you can't go wrong. I have the tapered which are kind of low and throaty. I do have some decel popping, but other than that great pipes. I'm trying to wait before spending $700+ on dual exhaust.

Re:EXHAUST SEARCH 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Well, there you have it. There's a lot of ways to do it, and almost none of them could be wrong. It's going to come down to exactly what kind of look and sound you want.

I found what I liked. I did the Phase 1 modification first, but already had a set pipes and mufflers sitting in a box... so, I installed them this Spring, and couldn't be happier!

And just like Spud, they're quiet enough until you get on it, and then they bark!
