Looking for battery recommendation 7 Months, 1 Week ago
I need to get a new battery and I'm hoping to find something inexpensive that will last more than two years. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I used an AGM battery similar to this it was made in the USA and it lasted until I sold the bike. It was over 4 years old and 100%. What I liked with AGM is they don't discharge heavily during the winter:

It was called a Deka battery made in USA! http://www.dekabatteries.com/ the are sold in many places.

Go on Amazon and look up the Motocross brand battery for the Roadstar. Plenty of amps and delivered cheaper than you can get one off the shelf. Only had mine a year now but it holds a charge even if I don't ride for 3 weeks or more. I know a few others on here are running one. I believe they are even USA made, not sure but I think so.

Do you happen to know the specs for our bikes? i.e. required CCAs and Amp Hours?

So, which bike are you referring to? I thought you bought a FI bike, or is it the one pictured?

Edit---

Ah. An '06. Just went back through [60 pages of!] your posts and found it.

You can't beat Yuasa. My 270 will be 7 years old in October and it still spins the engine over without any trouble. I've got a dry (BS type) Yuasa 310 I got off Amazon for less than $90 waiting in the wings.

You can find others for less but the money adds up after replacing them a couple of times.

Do you have a model number for either? I did a Google search and lots came up. Also, I know about AGM, but what is BS?
