Re:Tires 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
It's me again. I spent a little time on line looking at different tire manufactures. Now I'm more confused. I'd really like your opinions of not just the brand of tire but more specifically what model to choose. Yea I know everybody has a opinion but yours has to be better than the pipply faced kid at the cycle shop counter. After all you guy's are riding the same bike. BTW I ride solo 99.9% of the time. I'm just looking for some decent milage and something I can feel confortable with.
Thanks for all of your help.

I like the dunlop 404's they last around 8,000 miles and hold well for the way I drive. I get them from http://www.motorcycletires.com.

I'm now partial to the avon venom, they ride and handle great, to me, they feel like they roll with the curves better

Re:Tires 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have only had experience with Bridgestone and Avon on this scooter. The Avon Venom is fantastic. Grips great wet or dry, it is smooth, quiet and seems to be lasting quite well. My stock Bridgestone lasted about 9,400 miles and was pretty worn out. The Avon has a little over 10K and will probably go another 2-3000. I have to have whitewalls so my selection is somewhat limited. I strongly recommend the Avon Venom for a great all round tire.

Front tire getting there where i need to do something soon.. Leaning towards the Avon Venom.. What kinda price did you guys that are running them on the front end have to pay for them. I checked my local guy today and i thought he was a bit high but then again maybe not.. $$$ for a front avon..

Re:Tires 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I changed my rear at @ 12000 miles and kept the stock bridgestones on it as i didn't change the front. I have 20000 on the front, and its getting close to needing to be changed. I keep hoping the rear will catch up and I'll replace both together. I think I'm going to go to metzler this time. I've heard good things about them also.

Re:Tires 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I just put a Continental Milestone on the rear of my R*, and I've got about 3000 on it. Seems to be doing fine so far. It holds the road pretty good, I've scraped the floor boards several times , and it holds pretty good seems like. Mounted and balanced it ran me @ $150. The original Bridestone lasted about 8400 miles. As for burn outs, my will burn a tire up rather fast if you let it
