#50620 OkieBo (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 18 Handlebar Shimmy 1 Year ago   I have a shimmy on deceleration between 30-40 mph and I'm not on the brakes in 3rd sometimes 4th gear coming to a stop using engine braking and the handle bars will start to shimmy slightly to the left and right and then progress quickly to almost out of control if you have a light grip on the bars, and I noticed it when I had the factory tires on at about 6000 miles and has done it ever since. Thanks for the help in advance. Might need grease. Platinum Boarder Posts: 2913 Re:Handlebar Shimmy 1 Year ago   Make sure it's not loose or a crack in the mount And if you can raise the front wheel off the ground make sure the steering head is tight by pulling back and forth.
