Hurricane Irma in Florida 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Please keep us Florida folks in your thoughts for a couple of days. We are going to get hit by one of the biggest baddest Hurricanes in recorded history. Florida is about 150 miles wide, and this storm is about 400 miles wide, and is going from the southern most point in Florida all the way up and into Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. They expect it to make landfall as a Cat 4.
Florida has already evacuated 7 million people. My a**hole is starting to pucker. First Texas, and now us. Two low flood prone states.
John

Re:Hurricane Irma in Florida 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Thanks for all the well wishes guys. We are staying as we are not in the evacuation zone. Have lived in south Florida since 1961, and have seen some hurricane's but this one looks special. We just moved up here to north Florida, and I guess this is my initiation.
I know Drifter and MikerunsJax both live up here too. It will be a experience. Probably will lose power, TV, computer, and phone service, but I have a small generator I can power a few things with, refrigerator, and small freezer so we don't lose our food.
Bought lots of ethanol free gas for the generator. We should be good, but will probably be looking to go through several pairs of underwear .
