which of these 3 Indian models would you choose? 2 Weeks, 1 Day ago
Everyone on here that knows me, knows by now that I change bikes often.
Today I put my HD Electra Glide on CL. I plan on keeping my Road Star.
I Want to try an Indian!! I have wanted one since they came out with Polaris backing them. Now that it has been a few years, I am starting to find used ones out there that are priced so I can make this happen.
I know this is a bad time to be trying to sell a bike. I will probably have to wait until spring as I am not going to give my bike away.
The problem is which model to get, I love them all except for the Scout. I know whichever one I get I will have to have a backrest on it so that I can use a t-bag for trips. Also I ride solo.
My closest dealership is 100 miles away so it is not that easy to keep checking these out.
I think I have narrow it down to three. Whats your opinion on these
I think the vintage is the best looking bike ever. However it has smaller unlocking saddlebags. It also has the different rake that makes it handle a little harder than the other 2.

The springfield has locking saddlebags and the better rake. Looks awesome as well.

The cheiftain is my favorite (as I like a fairing when it's cooler) i'm not sure if i'm sold on the look of this fairing or not. It is also the more expensive of the 3

I know you can't decide what bike I want, just curious what your thoughts are on these models or on Indians in general. I have only riden a very short ride on a Vintage. do any of you have any experience riding any of these?

I bought a roadmaster and love it. I like the ability to take the trunk on and off.

Of those three, the middle one. I really like the leather trim, but I think I like the black bikes better with the black bags.

I'd go for the Chieftain if I had the dough...that's a nice looking machine.

All 3 are great looking bikes. I like the Springfield and especially the new dark horse version. I haven't riden the chieftain but I can see some benefits with the fairing and I am sure having tunes help also.

My votes for the chieftain. That fairing and front fender are wicked. But the vintage is a beauty too. I've never ridden an Indian. Do you have to offer up your wife and first born to get a test ride or is it pretty simple?
