#102437 sumo1600 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 4 Fattest rear tire without mods 4 Months, 1 Week ago   I run Metzeler ME880 tires on my 2001 Roadstar and plan to purchase another ME880 for the rear soon. My question to all of you gurus is what is the fattest rear tire size I can run safely with stock configuration (Star's recommendations not withstanding)? I read the post on grinding the subframe and am not completely opposed to some material removal as long as structural integrity is maintained. Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance. By the way, a Milwaukee pig pilot informed me of the fact that my Roadstar "Ain't nuthin more than a Japanese Fat Boy", to which I replied, "Yeh, I call it Sumo" (known to be rather obese Japanese wreslers of course...get it?
