Hey Guys,
This has been the greatest site for tech info about Roadstars that I have seen. I have rejetted my stock carb and was looking on here for info, and while I found way more than I could ever digest, I still wanted to know other peoples findings. If we can save a couple of trips into the carb then I think it would be worth it. I am currently still in testing stages with my setup, but here it is.

AIS Removed.

Modified Stock Airbox with K&N.

Dyno 3000 Ignition 36a, 5000, retard timing 6

DJ kit:
DPJM037 - Pilot Jet
M182.5 - Main Jet (stock)
AF out 2.75

380ft above sea level.

Bike runs like a scalded dog, does not backfire or pop, and no black suit at this time.

This has been talked about many many times. You can do a search and find a lot of threads on settings. Also look at peoples profiles. Many have their settings listed.

Yea I found quite a bit out there where people were testing settings and getting suggestions, But none entered there final setup. I think the site is great, and is my first stop when I do anything to my bike. I read a lot of threads and have yet to see the best setup using a DJ kit and setup like mine. It would have saved me a lot of time...

I think that I understand what mblairmail is saying.

On the one hand a cross referance listing by intake, exhaust, jet kit, air kit, mods, and elevation/location would be an incredible time saver. We could start out near what others have by trial and error arrived at the hard way.

I know it would be time consuming to set up, but doable using database software.

On the other hand, the process of finding your jetting is an education in itself. A time consuming one. (One that I personally would gladly give up the majority of if there was a cross reference of the different R*'s in the clinic.)

While I agree that it would be awesome to have available, I want to point out that it would have to be set up and maintained by someone. That person would have to dedicate a significant amount of time, effort and expertise to accomplish that.

Is it fair to ask for that? I don't know. I just know that I appreciate what our moderators and others contributing their time and energy to this site do for us. So, personally, I'm not going to ask them to do it. Personally, I just want to say; thanks for everything everyone has done for me and all the others here.

P.S. But, if anyone wants to voluteer?

It wouldn't be practical and probably impossible to keep such a list current and accurate. People are always changing things. It would not only be up to the person who was compiling and maintaining the list. It would be up to everyone else to post or PM every time they changed something.

I have seen this on the triumph fourm so it's not impossible and I KNOW MA YAMAHA would love the help!! After all they can't figure much out by themselves. There is so much info and down right good discusion on this site that I'm sure they keep an eye on us.

Well Curt there's alot of us "aflicted" ones out here! It seems like everyday another one pops up. I think it's too much damage control to get a handle on without a recall of some kind. By the way your bike sounds awesome! Glad you got it dialed in.

I didnt want to make a big deal out of it. I just wanted to post our final setup. Then the guys coming in will have a starting place rather than going by the directions with the kit, which are always wrong. I have been in my carb 3 times in 3 days, I would love to start where someone else is at and maybe only have to do it once?

no big deal, like I said on the triumph site they have a jet caculator. You punch in the exhaust you have, air kit if any, and elevation and it tells you what jets you should be using and where to place the clip on the needle. Seems easy enough but I'm no computer pro so God only knows how much went into it.
