Is there any other options for rear rack other then yamaha one, on the yama website, they list it at $145 CDN.

I bought one last year...or was it the year before. I use it alot, and it went on easy so even though it might be a bit pricey, the quick fitment makes it an easy add. Weahter E-Bay or Yamaha parts, I can't complain about the part.

Yep, I wanna get one on so I can remove the backrest and bags when I want , but still might need to carry a little. I have a buddy who was gonna sell me his rack that hooks up to the backrest, but that doesnt do me any good.  I might just have to pay Yama mama, 'cause there arent any on e bay like that. |

I ride an o5 Midnight Star and I could not find a rack that I knew would fit. I cut up an old electric braker box and had a friend weld it up. I painted it black. It looks okay because I keep a bag on it which covers it. Not what I wanted but will do until I find the chrome that I want.

I just ordered yesterday from Dr Mudspringer, a MC tour luggage rack. The total was $135 with tax. I have the 1600. The 1700 is a different part number. The rack itself is flat rather than with the lip some others have. I am going to mount a trunk on it.
