I usually ride interstates between 75-80. Is there a lot of motor left up there. Yes! Do I want to "cruise" at 90........not really. Will it , All day long. Don't worry about who is passing you , I look at them as the ones who will clear the way for me , as the law will be more interested in the guy going 85-90+ than he will the 75-80 crowd. Enjoy your ride. BB

During last weeks ride, as I passed through Daytona, I pulledup tp a guy on a Road King and he "kicked it up" to 88 mph. I had no trouble staying with him and noticed that even with him in sixth and me in fifth, our engines sounded like they were nearly in snync. But, given a choise of riding at 75 or 88... you can always "kick it up" to break the monotony of the ride... But, if you're already fast... Well, that just ain't comfort, to me...

My motto when it comes to me, my Roadie and what we're doing on the asphalt is this: It's a ride, not a race.
Like BB said, let's the ones cracking 85-90 pay all the tickets and such. I'm happy to set my own speed and just wave the others on by. It is nice to know that if I wanted an extra push down the road the 102 will churn it out with the best of the V-Twin rides.

I seem to be a bit slower than most myself. I stick pretty close to 70 on the highway and the posted speed limits on the other roads. At times I get a little self-conscience about always being passed by other bikes, but then I remember it isn't a race. We live in the mountains, so a lot of our rides involve curves, one after another. Love those winding roads, but after a day of doing that I do enjoy opening the throttle and "letting the ponies run". I've had the bike to 95 and it seemed to have more to offer, but decided that was plenty for me.

I tend to ride at the same speed most of the traffic is moving, less people passing me and me passing less people.

My cruising speed is 70 when highway driving. Feels good and I'm comfortable with that speed. I've found no matter how fast you go someone is always passing you. I just stay out of the race. Always try to stick with backroads and just enjoy the ride.

I'm of the same opinion as most on this thread... let 'em pass and you do your thing. I usually ride at 70 mph on the innerstate and she just cruises right along. I am always being passed by other bikes like I am standing still so they must be doing 80-90 mph... but I don't ride that fast unless I have to get there asap and am running behind which is not very often.
