Which oil in AZ? 4 Months ago
I just finished building my DIY lift from the lumber and gas pipe.....works great!!! I ran down to Wally World, then to Auto Zone to get 5 quarts of Mobil-1 20W/50, and they looked at me like I was off my rocker (neither place stocks it)! There were a couple other brands of dino-oil in that weight, but nothing synthetic.

I'm interested in anyone's advice. I'm in AZ, the temp outside is averaging 110 during the day, and I ride every day nearly 50 miles.

Thanks in advance,
Kimball

I use Amsoil synthetic oil 20W50, Mobil 1 Vtwin is also very good make sure any oil you get is for VTWIN, Royal Purple is popular too.

I live in Georgia and most days now it's over 90 here.

I'm currently using Royal Purple 20/50 no issues.

I was wondering though if anyone here had ever used the Havoline brand motorcycle oils as carried by A-Zone ? they are for 4 strokes and the label reads that there jaso- ma service and for wet cluthes I don't know anything about engines is a V-twin a 4 stroke ?

I use amsoil 10w40 year round and have been in 100 degree heat with no problems.

dcoley your Road* is a 4 stoke and if the oil is jaso-ma rated you can use it in your bike.

Hey, fella's I need to correct the brand of oil I mentioned previousley as being Havoline that was incorrect, I was in A-zone this afternoon and the brand that I was wondering if anyone had tried in their bikes is Valvoline motorcycle oil. I didn't see any in synthetic for bikes made by Valvoline.

Kimball,

I too live in AZ and have used the Royal Purple for the past year with no trouble at all. The engine seems quieter than with the stock oil and appears to produce less heat.

I'm suprised you couldn't find Mobil 1 V-Twin synthetic at autozone. I live in AZ too and the two autozone's I frequent carry it.
