Hey Frankie
If you want a Harley I sell you this one fairly cheap!!! That way you can say you have owned a harley. I guarantee you will get respect from the H.D. boys if you ride up on it.

Re:Anyone secretly want a Harley? 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Actually, If anything, I "secretly own a Yamaha. LoL
Let me explain...
When I was 17, back when NOBODY wanted a Harley, I test rode a 2 year old '75 Superglide. I traded on the spot. Since then I've had 5 more H-D's and no metrics. Although I always said "ride what you like", I always heard nothing but negative comments about H-D's from metric riders, especially 2 Honda riding brothers. This is my first metric, and I like the bike, but I would never let any of those guys know it. I'll probably keep my Roadie but I'll also probably add another H-D to the garage at some point.
BTW, I did catch one of the Honda brothers walking into the local H-D shop a few years ago. I ask why he was there. He didn't stop to think who he was talking to before bragging that "he had a Harley"! I had a smile the rest of the day!

Yes, I love my roadstar but I still want a Harley just can't afford one.... Would I trade my Roadie?? doubt it but I really fancy my friends streetglide and the cross bones is sweet!

I used to want a Harley, but I have 2 co-workers that have them, 1 has a Springer softail that is Out of Commission with a hole in someplace in the engine and the 2nd on bought a brand new one (forget the model), but he got it home, parked it, with about 30 miles on it and saw a puddle of oil under it. If it's gonna leak oil straight out of the crate, I don't want one.
  • I wouldn't mind one of these though. http://www.hotbikeweb.com/features/0504_build_off_trike/index.html

I agree with Knightman, 20 years ago riding a Harley was a statement. I recently RODE to Bike week on My venture(my favorite bike is my new Roadie) 85% of the cruisers there were trailer HDs. Pretty bikes, but where is the statement? I also have considered an older harley. I would just have to accept the mechanical issues that go with them. I bought My 2007 Midnight in april for $9199,
have added ~4500 in accessories and a Speedstar stage 4. and still am not up to a stock harley price. But as the old lady said when she kissed the cow, "to each his own"

I looked seriously at a Heritage Classic when I was out shopping and I have to admit I fell in love with a white one (wife even told me to get it). But after finding my R* at 10,700 compared to the 18,900 for the Heritage I figured it left me a LOT of dollars to make it my own. The HD's are nice, we have a factory here in Kansas City but It wasn't an extra $8,000 nice....even if it was white!

Man thats a great looking bike. I like the apes and the solo seat and color. Right now the only way I could get a HD is to get rid of the Road Star, I was just looking at metric trucks (2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax)saturday, but I'm keeping my Tahoe ! If gas keeps going up I might have to move into it.

But what do you want for the HD ?
