Hello again 4 Months, 1 Week ago  
Hey ,came in a little while ago to ask for any tips on roadies .Bought an 05 silverado leftover so now the mod itch is on I'm a long time rice rocket rider so i havent ridden anything this slow since i was a newbie 20+ ago .I enjoy riding my new sofa around (ha) but I am wondering if you guys can help with some advice?I am on a limited budget and i'm a car wrench (goes hand in hand).Best advice on seat?mines uncomfortable I'm 6'2" 235lbs Also i'm looking at pulling my exhaust apart bought a used pipe and a 02 1600 carb is this the same carb as my 05 1700,If so how should i mod for removing my baffles (stage #3)?Bikes got 2500 miles on her now seems to run good mileage around 40 and Im on it alot! Any advice on either subject appreciated.Also if anyones got any deals on used goodies I'm interested.

If you are going to leave the airbox stock you don't have to or want to do any jetting for stage 3 or an aftermarket set of pipes. Just put the pipes on and ride. Seats are a personal choice. Lots of people like the Mustang or the Ultimate but that doesn't mean you will like either of them. Best bet is to hit a bike night or a dealer get together and try and set on bikes with different seats.

thanks ,forgot to mention do have a k&n filter to put on that I got with the other stuff i bought.Is the 1600 carb same as 1700 ? my seats okay for short hops but not long hauls.

If the filter is the open K&N then you will need to jet. If it's the K&N that fits in the stock airbox you don't. The carb will fit.
