Ready to Rumble??? 4 Months, 1 Week ago

You should have been here a few moments ago (Corona, CA). We just had a 5.8 earthquake.
All ok, and that isn't big enough to cause major damage (except perhaps to personal items of clothing).

Corona... my Aunt and Uncle lived on Kellog St (Ave), nearly across the street from a park. I remember riding bicycles down the street and around the corner through an orange grove... in 1981...  I'll bet that'sstill there!

So far so Good Tim. I did a visual inspection on my house exterior (looking for stucco cracks) and all looked good.
No reports of damage yet, I guess we will see what the news brings tonight.
Not much left of those old orange groves. I used to pick oranges out here in the 70's to earn extra money as a kid.

Yeah, I heard about that on Sirius today... one random announcement, "L.A. has been hit with a 5.8 earthquake. No reports of damage yet, stay tuned for details." and nothing after that  Glad you're alright and things seem to be in order!

My in-laws live in Orange County and they said everything was fine. They just had a few pictures fall off the wall.
I will take Tornado alley anyday. I get a 15-20 minute warning and most of the time, I can step out of the way.

Looks like Yorba Linda got the worst of it (about 15 miles from Corona). Some homes and businesses with minor damage. Most of it was things falling off of shelves or tipping over. A few older buildings lost some bricks. No reports of any injuries.
