Greatings from Central CA as well! 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
My first time to the Clinic, and I've already wasted 2 hours at work

So far I'm just getting some basics for my '04 Midnight Road Star, and as a big guy, I'm looking for guidance on adjusting the suspension (the guy I bought it from was a rail, so I think it may need beefing up a bit).

Welcome, I'm new here myself (today). Know what you mean about wasting 2 hours of work. I'm retired, but I have spent a lot of time here looking around. I guess I have a new addiction. Where are you located in the Central Valley?

The manual has a section on how to adjust the suspension. You'll find a large wrench in your tool pouch that fits the large nut.

Soulsbyville, above Sonora. Commute to Riverbank/Modesto. Nice ride. You?

Thanks, Doc; I just reviewed the manual and found the procedure. At 255 lbs, and occasional passenger at 145, or 400 lbs total, would you recommend I set it at the stiffest setting and leave it alone?

I'd recommend a stiffer spring ..... either 900 or 1000 lbs .... is you do mostly 2 up. The stock spring does not cut it with two up, even at the stiffest setting.
