I have a question about head lights 3 Years, 10 Months ago
I bought a head light modulator for my R*, it saya it's not for use with a HID light. I've not heard of a HID light, can anyone tell me what that is? This might be a silly question, but that's me.

I believe it is xenon.. HID = high intensity discharge.. If your roadie is stock then you don't have it..

HID bulbs are those super bright headlights with a bluish tint that you see on some luxury cars (Lexus, BMW, Audi) The Roadstar uses a standard halogen headlight bulb, so you are good to go.

FWIW ... not every bluish light you see is an HID bulb ... the blue color has become a status symbol, so you can by blue tinted halogen bulbs at some auto parts stores that 'look' like HID bulbs. (not sure why people would want that, but ... ) The way to tell if its actually an HID bulb and not a blue tinted one is the width of the headlight beam. True HID bulbs have a very intense beam that is relatively narrow, in contrast with the wider light dispersion of a halogen bulb.

More info at //auto.howstuffworks.com/question387.htm

That was probably way more info than you wanted ... lol sorry!
