New problem with the fuel pump relocation 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
As always I make the easiest mod difficult. I thought I had the bike all put together and ready to take out to the beach this weekend when I got to the end of the driveway and she quits. I quickly found the problem. My fuel line to the carb was pinched by the side cover. So I remedied the problem and tried once more. Well I got a mile away from my house and she is now quitting on decel. I cannot figure this one out. If I keep the rpms up she stays running. At idle it sounds a little fast even...thanks for the help guys.

Laortego, hi.

If you've elliminated the usual problems, like the fuel lines being pinched, clean filter, tank valve flows good and the pump is pumping well then all thats left is your carb.

The first thing I would check is the pms screw adjustment. Tweaking it out just a bit might resolve your issue.

Otherwise, you might check you float level and that the float bowl needle valve opening is clean as well as the pilot jet (generally the whole carb of course).

I did the fuel pump move a few months ago and the only issue I've run into is that the fuel takes longer to run from the tank around to the carb and I hear the pump working a lot more than it used to.

Have fun and I hope it all works out quick.

Ratl.

Hey laortego
I relocated mine with the Barrons kit. I had the same problem, and mine turned out to be where I had zip tied the fuel line to the frame. It didn't look to tight, but apparently it was. Your's is probably something simple also, if it was running fine before the relocation.
