I have the ais removed, it didn't help. Also, it may have been my imagination but it seemed to have lost a little torque. I thought about cutting them to be louder yet still giving a little back pressure, but I want another set of baffles before trying it.

Without an extra set I might cut them two or three times and they'll still be too short!

take them out and toss them i did..... ....... not that you should but love the sound

Do you not have the awful noise on decel (or maybe that's a good noise...??)?

Mine have no baffles and the harley guys I blow by always come up at the next stoplight and comment on how awesome my pipes sound..

Rider, I was wondering the same thing, I have a guy at work who drives a Harley which has a nastly popping and backfirng on decel and he likes it.

It's not for me though...

As for measuring twice and cuttin' once, that'll be fine if it works the first time

My bike backfired on me for the very first time last week. She never really has much to say on decel (normally) other than a nice rumble. I thought someone had fired a rifle behind me (seriously)...it took a moment to realize what had happened. Hasn't happened since.

Mine without the baffles literally sounds like a jake brake on a minature semi (without the ais)

I just ordered an AIS removal kit from Barons....gonna try that next week (or the week after)
