Just removed my baffles. I have a more bottom end rumble and they're definately louder. But, I do get the back pressure when I am deccelerating. I'm gonna try for a few days and see what happens.

I hear there, don't get me wrong, I love the debaffled sound.

I just don't like the high popping sound at decel. Probably going to cut the baffles to get te best of both worlds.

I have the longshots on my Roadie. I pulled the baffles and yeah you could hear it backing off. I then went to the muffler shop and had them take a 6 inch piece of 1 and 3/4 inch pipe and stretch both ends to 2 and 1/8 inch o.d. and put them in . wow cheap thunder monsters. It cost me $10.00 for the "baffles" and a couple of bucks for the stainless bolts to attatch them. Everyone seems to think it sounds great. That is except my neighbor lady. I'd try this before yiu cut your baffles up .

Is the 6" pipe just strait pipe (no cuts or preferations) that was widened at the ends?

When I got my '00 Roadie the baffles in the Longshots were gone. Impressive but way loud. I ordered quiet baffles for them. I wish they were a bit louder but the neighbors are happier and my performance improved with the baffles.
