It details the correct way to get to TDC. This is a bit more removal but well worth it. No mistakes here dead accurate. I have tried other methods on my Concours and nothing beats using the proper timing marks. You do not need to use a wrench to turn the engine you can still rotate rear tire for that just helps to have another set of eyes. Also when you do adjust be ready for a lesson in patients. Sometimes you have to adjust and check many times because of movement when you retighten the lock nuts. Given I had to get the bike back together, I figured I'd come back to it later.
