Oh my achin' a......... 3 Years, 9 Months ago
Just finished a trip to visit my daughter and my SIL down in St. Augustine. It's a little over 400 miles each way. Let me tell you, after about the first 150 miles or so, yowie!!!!

I looked in the stash of articles and I don't think the sheepskin is going to solve my problem.

Any ideas???

Get a different seat or take shorter rides.

You would be suprised what the sheep skin can do. I've done 800 mile days with it on my mustang seat and was tired but the back side was fine. And I used it on my stock seat and it helped some there too.

Sorry, guess I meant I was looking for recommendations and seat fixes and/or replacements.

That's what I figured, Snake.

I guess I'll try the sheepskin for the short term and see how that works out.

Hey Perfesser,
I just came back from a 400 mile ride from Alabama today (8 hrs) took the long way. I have the mustang seat and made all the difference. Still felt it a little but nothing compared to the stock seat. I'm thinking about a sheepskin to help with the sweating from riding in 96 degree heat. I think that caused more discomfort than the seat itself. There's alot of good seats out there, just look around and ask some of the other guys here. BTW St. Augustine is nice, I'm getting married there next March.

I sent my seats in to ButtBuffer to have the padding replaced and seats shaped. They should be back tomorrow. I hope it is a great improvement and only cost $269 with shipping. Will post feedback after I take a good long ride .
