I CANNOT get my forks to budge. I've loosened the pinch bolts and even taken out the screws that hold on the brackets for the lower tins, and nothing. What is the trick? I can't figure it out.

Top and bottom pinch bolts.

Remove fender and axle.

That's about it.

To 'move' the forks you must loosen the pinch bolts in both the top and bottom triple trees.

The bottoms are hidden by the top tin.

Depending on your particular situation sometimes you can just barely reach the bottom pinch bolts by turning the bottom tins outward.

If not ... remove top triple tree and remove top tins.

Don't like the yellow appearance of the brushed stainless and, as a secondary reason I'd like to mount some aux. lights on the fork tubes (avoiding all the light bar issues) BTW I did finally get the tins off thanks to DOC. Looks like I put on a new front end.
