I'm also looking at putting a fairing on mine... I like the WOC looks and you can't beat the price. But, how's the buffetting, also a buddy has a street glide and says he gets a lot of wind up under the fairing. Any sugestions? Oh one other ?? Where does the antenna go?

Hey red*
When I first installed my fairing, I noticed less buffeting than with my windshield. Since then I've installed lowers, and there's even less now. I'm wanting to put air wings on my fairing, and that should help even more.
As far as the antenna, the one that comes with the fairing is just a wire like one for a home system, and it goes inside of the fairing. It's OK untill you get very far away from any stations, but you can upgrade antenna later on.

I think you get buffetting with any fairing or windshield. that typically comes from under the fairing not over or around it. Like coach I have lowers on mine and that helps. Doesnt stop it all together but it does help. The antenna is horrible. single wire that lays in the fairing. I put a powered Dakota Digital on (the local harley dealer to me to try it) and I have tried the tune trapper that mounts in the fairing. Both a waste of money. The trunk I am mounting has an external antenna, seems to be the best way to go.

Thanks... I just thought of something else, do you really need a marine stereo or does the fairing protect it from getting wet?

it has a cover that comes down over the radio. I could see if you left your bike out in the rain, water could run down the inside of the windshield and past the rubber grommet. BillJr says his has never shown signs of water in the fairing, mine hasnt either, but most bikes come with a marine radio. I suppose its a just in case thing.

Gotcha... I know mine won't be sitting out in the rain. I was more concerned about the quality of the stereo & sound.

Thanx again

I think the stereo is fine. I know others like the JVC better. but I think the lack of sound quality in the Auqua Tronics water proof speakers. It certainly doesnt have high quality car audio sound. but i will be honest with you, at highway speeds, the wind noise takes alot away from the sound anyway. You can hear it, but not like riding in a car.

Hi gentlemen, I have a question, does the fairing fit over the headlight assembly & chrome housing without changing anything or is just the bulb
& bucket mounted onto the fairing? I just ordered strong hardbags & a trunk from tsukayu & would like a fairing

Hey Hurricane
The fairing fits over the stock headlight bucket.
Here is a link to a few photos I took while I was mocking it up.
I have the Aeromach 2" up and 1 1/2" back risers, just so you can referance space above risers and below stereo.
