missing when cold & wet 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Guys,

My 07 R* has developed a problem and I am trying to diagnose it. The bike recently started missing when it was cold. The problem became so severe that one of the plugs fouled out. I suspected a bad coil/wire. Sooooo, I replaced the coils with Dynatek units, replaced the wires with Dyna wires and installed NGK Iridium plugs. The bike definatly runs better. Problems solved, right??? Wrong. It happened again to me this morning leaving work (the bike will sit out for 24 hours at a time, I work as a career firefighter) When I started it up to go home this morning it began missing again. It kept it up until I got onto the Interstate and got a few miles down the road. I am now suspecting the ignition module may be funky. The bike has had Cobra exhaust w/jet kit installed, K&N airfilter. Other than that it is essentially stock.

Any thoughts or comments? I did check for any loose connections or obvious problems, I do not believe the coils/wires are grounding or leaking current. Like I said, the next logical step for me is the ignition module. I just hate to plunk down another $300.00 for something if its not the problem.

Thanks in advance,
Pete

Did it start since your last fill up? Did you change anything before it started?
