Ride for Daniel 3 Years, 9 Months ago
Did the "Ride for daniel" on the sunshine coast a few weeks back before I got my star a mate lent me his meanstreak, 7000 motor bikes probably doesn't sound much to you guys in the states but it made this the largest charity event in Australia its for awarness and fundraising for missing or abducted kids, Daniel was taken from a bus shelter 5 years ago and the community supported his parents. At the start of the run his mum (mom) does a count down and 7000 bikes start up and rev there engines in tribute to young daniel and to scare the s@#t out of anyone who would hurt a kid. All kinds of bikes great fun

Sounds like a really worthwhile cause. 7000 bikes does sound like alot. Here in the states there's not many bike rides with 7000 bikes running in them. Glad to hear more and more about these worthwhile rides in rememberance of someone special. Glad you shared it with us. Have a great day. Looks like good riding weather today(In Kentucky at least).

7000 bikes is a lot! And I can't think of a better cause. Anyone that would hurt a child is pure scum, and unfortunately it happens too much here in the states.

Great cause for a bike rally! As many have stated there are alot of scum out there that you have to keep an eye out for. There is a good cure it just is not politically correct LOL but why should those that prey on kids have any rights.

I deal with alot of these piece of in my line of work as a Correctional Officer for the State of Iowa. More and more of them come in to prison after repeat offenses. Atleast Iowa put a law into effect where they can be held and court ordered for the remainder of their lives.

We need to protect our kids!

Excellent cause Brad, I remember the case well as I was in Brisbane on a course with the military at the time. It would be good for the parents to get some kind of closure and we can only hope karma gets the a-holes responsible.....
On the ride, I have done a couple of Toy runs on my old Harley with those sort of numbers in Perth and it was excellent going through the tunnel there surrounded by all the Harleys.
