This should be my last question 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Since my R* has been down due to a battery/charging problem. I decided to remove the AIS, change fuel filter and detail the out of her I decided to see if I could fix the mechinism that removes the seat. For a while I have been having dificulty removing the seat. Any ideas what could be wrong and the way to fix it. From looking at it other than dirt, it appears to be a problem with the end by the key.

with the seat off, turn the key. Does it turn easily? If so, then there is pressure on the latch when the seat is on. You should push down on the front of the seat while turning the key. If it doesn't turn easily, I sprayed some silicone spray on the mechanism and worked the latch a few times. WD-40 will do the same thing. Good luck.
