Air intake 3 Months ago
I recently bought a 2001 Midnight Star 1602 and I can't say enough good things about, it runs like a champ! I have noticed that a lot of Roady owners get rid of their stock air intake and get one of the many aftermarket, and may I add expensive, air intakes. Now, I understand why they also get rid of the stock pipes, mine has Longshots, but my bike has so much power already, does it really help to change the air intake? I notice these things sell anywhere from $250 to $400, I just want to know is it really worth it?

These beasts are starving for air with the stock air cleaner. Its not necessary to change, but IMO and many others, if you want to wake her up then YES its worth the money for both performance and looks.

I'm a cheap bastard myself and I didn't want to spend the money either, so I came up with the following...(a hand full have followed suit and love it)
