I have seen sport bikes riding like maniacs many times. But yesterday I was coming home from the beach in N.J. I was on the New Jersey Tpk, the traffic was very heavy but moving. All of a sudden a bike flew by me inches away from my car. It was loud and scared the you know what out of me. I reacted by moving over I was actually pushed into the emergency lane. My car was half in that lane and half in the right lane when the second bike flew by. I was now pulling back into my lane when a third flew by I almost clipped him. I watched these jerks fly from one lane to another doing about 100mph in heavy traffic.
I found myself starting to wish you know what and I caught myself. I didn't want to wish that because they are fellow bikers. However I said to my wife if I saw them wrecked down the road they got what they diserve.
I never saw anyone ride like that and I have seen many sport bikes ride like they are crazed. I was so mad I wanted to break their heads.

These guys what are they thinkingj if they don't care about themselves how about others. A bike could kill someon not just themselves.

If I was a cop I would not have stopped writting tickets until the cows come home.
Speeding, wreckless driving, unsafe lane change. and if I gave it any thought I could have come up with a few more. It is just a question of time until one or more of these idiots kills themselves or someone else.

I see them riding like idiots and tail gating all the time. I'm not going to feel bad if they pulp themselves on the back of a truck. They were asking for it. They got it. It's the people they might take with them that bothers me.

this is a little cryptic but my buddys father is retired NYPD and when he found out i got a bike a few years ago he decided he would give me a talk about it and he told me about a guy that was riding a sport bike at high speed in the city splitting lanes and the rider actually passed him in traffic, like an hour later he got radioed in to an accident and it was the biker... he was at high speed, something happened and he impaled himself on pipes sticking out the back of a construction truck

i understand loving the thrill of speed and all that jazz but some sport bike guys are just out right stupid

I have no tolerance for those that endanger others as they endanger themselves. Members of my family share the road with these idiots. While I don't agree 100% with the new law in Florida that permits the state to confiscate your bike if you're clocked doing just 10 over the limit (am I remembering this right, 10 over?), but there are some offenses that I think warrant the surrender of your ride.

Things that constitute reckless driving at high speed would be one. "Stunting" would be another.

Yeah, we're all riding bikes, but just like there are some hunters that smear the reputation of other hunters by poaching, etc, bad bikers shouldn't be tolerated by the rest of us who ride in a responsible manner. Darwin helps us out now and then, but we also need to police ourselves to the extent that we can or others who have little concern for our love of riding will indeed do it for us.

I think the FL. law states 30 miles over the speed limit......

me and a buddy were on our way to go fourwheeling and seen a guy laying dead in the road and seen his rocket 100 yards past him.and another time seen a guy laying in a field and his buddy watching as the ems pulled his butt out.it just isnt worth speeding and acting like an idiot.

I have to agree with Musky on this one. I wouldn't feel bad if they do themselves in. I had a nephew who did this exact thing. Got himself a crotch rocket and then went out with friends to film themselves riding like idiots. Never riden before but thought he knew what he was doing. Well he proved that he didn't know what he was doing. I felt sorry for his mother but I felt if he wanted to be stupid then he got what he deserved! There is a big difference between the guy riding his motorcycle in a sane manner and gets in an accident and those who ride like they are superman. Like Mark said "Darwin Theory"
