Re:My darker side 3 Months ago
I just sold my sport bike, and well, I "used" to be what most of you would call "that guy". Until I lost my best friend to someone that changed a lane in front of him and left him nowhere to go but into the back of their car. They even said they saw him coming.

It changed me. changed how I rode, and I grew up in my style vry fast. I was now the guy on a sportbike riding sanely. And 4 years later, it got to me finally to realize I need a different bike. And I sold thre sportbike, sold the crazy riding style...and bought a Road Star. Although I still love speed, and carving roads dragging knees...there is a place for it. A track!

I felt if he wanted to be stupid then he got what he deserved!

They were asking for it. They got it.

I won't even note who said the quotes. Man, it that up!! Nobody "deserves" to die, gawd!

If you notice the crotch rockets are mostly rode by younger drivers....at least that's what me experience has been.

And ALL of us at one time or another thought we were 10 feet high and bullet proof. It is part of growing up and because of this many don't make it.

BUT none of them "deserved" to die.

That's like saying of you eat meat, walk across the street, drink any kind of beverage including water, fly or even live than you will eventually "deserve " to die.

I think I cast my vote the same way.

I've had the stuffing scared out of me, too, by one of these morons passing me at 100 or better within inches.

If they end up in a Ziploc bag, I can only feel sorry for their families. My concern is that they scare people when they blow by, and I've seen more than one car jerk into an adjacent lane that was already occupied. Killing yourself is one thing; endangering others is altogether different.

I have seen sport bikes riding like maniacs many times. But yesterday I was coming home from the beach in N.J. I was on the New Jersey Tpk, the traffic was very heavy but moving. All of a sudden a bike flew by me inches away from my car. It was loud and scared the you know what out of me. I reacted by moving over I was actually pushed into the emergency lane. My car was half in that lane and half in the right lane when the second bike flew by. I was now pulling back into my lane when a third flew by I almost clipped him. I watched these jerks fly from one lane to another doing about 100mph in heavy traffic.
I found myself starting to wish you know what and I caught myself. I didn't want to wish that because they are fellow bikers. However I said to my wife if I saw them wrecked down the road they got what they diserve.
I never saw anyone ride like that and I have seen many sport bikes ride like they are crazed. I was so mad I wanted to break their heads.

These guys what are they thinkingj if they don't care about themselves how about others. A bike could kill someon not just themselves.

If I was a cop I would not have stopped writting tickets until the cows come home.
Speeding, wreckless driving, unsafe lane change. and if I gave it any thought I could have come up with a few more. It is just a question of time until one or more of these idiots kills themselves or someone else.

Well... when I was younger and had my Yamaha 550 Maxim... well you know, I don't have a lot of room to talk. I am older and wiser now and know the right way to ride and all that. But my god was it fun back then....

Bushrjackson all these things you mentioned are normal things that people do, they have nothing to do with being a flipping idiot and risking your life!! So doing normal things yes you don't deserve to die!!

Re:My darker side 3 Months ago
kinda like all those that smoke pot in the 70's when they were young and now bitch about the druggies. I have to agree, noone deserves to die, no family deserves that. People make choices and they live with the outcomes. We aren't here to judge. but to each their own, I don't like Karma kicking my ass later..

I'm with hardone2get....Some folks DO deserve to die. If you are a threat and endanger me or my family to the point of grave bodily injury or death, sorry, but you deserve to die. And I make absolutely NO apologies for having that point of view.

I guess I'm In Between! I think we all get our "ticket out"! The problem is with the ones that never learn, or don't care! I don't know about deserving to die, but I have been hit by "2" of these and I doubt they have changed their ways!

Re:My darker side 3 Months ago
When I saw these guys riding like they were (and believe me they were far worse then any I have seen before) I started to wish they would hit the payvment. But I stopped because I ride and I would not wish it on any biker. However if you bring things on yourself do to stupidity then I have no tears to shed for the person. I am not telling you any BS they were far worse then anything I have ever wittnessed on the road. If they would have killed someone first they would have went to jail second how about the lives they would be destroying. So I say with no appologize I don't wish them death. I say if it happens so it goes
