Help with Billet passenger floorboard install. 3 Months ago
Hey guys,
Picked up the Billet passenger floorboards and the mounting kit str-4wm57-40-41.

Looking for some help from anyone who has installed these. The problem im having is when i put the Special Washer up to the board to hold in the bearing and the spring, the board no longer will slide into the bracket so that i can install the Shaft Pivot spring. Its way to tight to slide in there with the washer...but without the washer it will. Any advice please - we have a trip planned in the morning and i would love to get these put on.

Thanks ! Mike

I can't remember the exact details Pooldoc... only that I had a heck of a time getting them on as well... and it had to do with what you are talking about - tiny springs, ball bearings, and washers while having very space to work in. I think that I may have scraped the ends of the mounts with a sharp knife to get rid of paint.... I can't remember exactly.

They were a major agravation to be sure, but I kept working with them and finally things fell into place. I put mine on about this time last year and really don't want to do that again.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful, but I write to encourage you to keep on trying... and they will go on at some point!
