But are the bolts metric? Too many accessory manufacturers for metric bikes are using standard bolts. Makes having a tool kit a bit of a pain in the a$$. I'm very interested. If they're metric.

Welp, I supply 3/8 bolts hexhead. it takes a 9/16 wrench and socket and rachet.( a 14 or 15 mm wrench fits pretty good if in a pinch).
metrics are double the price in stainless steel and for what I am selling them for I cant double what I pay for hardware. I supply stainless steel so that people dont complain about rust and I darn sure dont want things on my bike to rust. Zink plated and grade 8 hardware will rust, but is CHEEPER.

Besides, how often are ya going to pull your floorboards off of your bike on a trip or even at home?????????????
Put them on and haul a$$$$$$$.

Bill,

Thanks for the PM. My question stems from guys like Kuryakyn and Cobra who make stuff for us metric folks and stick with the Standard components. I don't mean to open a can of worms on this.

No can opened.
Thats probably why they use standard, 1. is they are less money and 2. is almost every household has a standard set of wrenchs.

I'm gunna jump into this thread. Just put 255mi on the ole girl today...yea....yea...no big deal I know, but it's the longest ride so far..no time ...just bought..The point is do the kits or "extenders" change the angle of the board. I got a knee that screams after about 3 to 4 hrs ride time. the increaced angle would be muuuch better. I'm 6'0' and really don't need the boards any further away than stock.

I'm 6' & have a set of Bill's extenders. I have them tilted but not all the way and they are wonderful. The tilt helps butt fatigue as well as knee fatigue.
Look at the pic in my profile to see the extenders installed & tilted plus they do work with a Yami big bar.

My dad is 5'10" and we put the 3" on his and he has baaaaaaaad knees and he can ride all day and not one complaint comes out of him. they straiten your nees out enough to get rid of the 90 degree bend you have with the stock position.
And they tilt up to 15 degrees
you can set them to where ever you are the most comfy.

Bill
