#112416 jimbocentral (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 6 Clutch 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago   After I ride for a while, or it is very hot, I notice when I stop my bike and let it sit for a while, when I take off it seems like the clutch may slip a little bit. It never moves when in gear, what I'm talking about is it shifts almost like an automatic when it is hot and I have been sitting. This goes away if I ride it for a mile or so. Has anybody else had this problem with theirs. I'm not really sure it's even a problem, when I shift into a higher gear it doesn't seem to slip at all. Actually would get to the point of trying to move even when clutch was all the way in and brakes on. Almost rear ended a car at a stop sign during heavy traffic. I would have problems shifting as well until I had been moving for awhile then it cleared up. Turns out that the dealer had adjusted the clutch cable too tight. This caused my clutch to over heat and stay engaged all the time at low rpm or slow traffic. I adjusted the clutch to proper setings on the side of the road and have never had the problem again.   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access.
