Check out Dooley pipes on the web. They put a pipe on each side of the bike under the bags. When I was looking at bikes I road a 2001 Roadstar with them and liked the look. On this bike they were way loud, but I don't know if they were stock or had the cores removed. Down side is they would be around $700. for my Midnight Silverado

I am looking to fab a set for my 04 midnight.

I looked at the dooleys but the left pipe is mostly for show and I wanted the pipes to work as good as they look.

The problem will be getting five feet of pipe to fit on the right side.

I am not fab. capable but I was looking for the same thing and thought you might be able to start with a set of true duals for a Harley heritage softtail from samson if that works or if you find something. please let me know.

Let me know if you find some! Roadhouse is the only ones I have found. I did find the "ideal" setup, if it were only made for the Star. Check out Bassani.com and their Power Curve equal length tube setup for the Harley. Maybe if enough RoadStar owners requested one?............................

Here's a little better pic of the Power Curve system. We can dream, can't we?

Dooleys ... left pipe is supposed to do about 40% of the exhaust work (nearly all of the rear exhaust is supposed to go that way). So while I agree that the left pipe is not as efficient as a true 2 into 2 ... it is much more than there just for show. Only reason I don't have a set is becasue they discontinued the FISH TAIL exhaust tips. In my opinion a must for the true bagger look.

I ADDED THE DOOLEY'S TO MY '04 WITH A BAK FROM BARON'S. QUITE A DIFF IN PERFORMANACE! IT'S NOT REAL TECHNICAL, BUT I'VE HELD MY HAND (CALIBRATED HAND) BY THE LEFT PIPE AND IT BLASTS OUT A LOT OF EXHAUST. THEY SOUND AND LOOK GREAT.

I have been running the Roadhouse Dooley fishtails for the past two years on my 2001 Roadstar. Originally set up with Speedstar air intake/filter, Speedstar ignition module, rejetted stock Mikuni carb and it performed very well.

Last year upgraded to Speedstar high compression pistons, Speedstar ported and polished cylinder heads, Speedstar ported intake manifold, polished Mikuni HSR 42mm flatslide carb, Forcewinder air intake, Wimmer ss all weather cone filter and kept the Roadhouse Dooley fishtails. The bike runs great with the mods and the dooley fishtail pipes.

I like the looks of the dooley fishtails and I haven't experienced any big performance problems with them...this bike runs very strong.

Good luck and ride safe
