My mustang seat appears to be about 2" lower than my friends identical 07 RS* with a stock seat. Moved me forward, but my road pegs are adjustable, so can still stretch (I'm 6'3" out on the bike. The lumbar support is great. I have some issues with my back, yet I am able to ride 400 miles (longest trip so far) in one day without noticeable pain.

Thanks, I need this kind of info from the Taller guys!!!

The Mustang seat lowers (alot when combined with the 'flip' and moves me forward some. At 6'3" I've found that the 3" forward and 15 degree up floorboard extensions, cruise pegs on the crash bars coupled with the 4" risers and 12 1/4 ' apes afford enough room and options for longer jaunts. As mentioned earlier, the passenger seat provides more than adequate lower lumbar support. Hope it helps.

Anyone have the "Daytripper" style from either Mustang or Saddlemen? How are they for comfort? I'm not 100% in love with the horse saddle look of the stocker.(or the PITA)

I had one on a 1999 Roadstar. When I traded for the new 2006, I took the seat with me. It sit's lower than stock, and with the optional drivers backrest, it's the best seat made.

I got a Harley now, but soon, very soon, there will be another Mustang in the family.

If you don't have one, get one!

Later,

Russ

What do you mean the "flip"? Are you talking Suspension?

Yes. Between the two mods (seat & flip), I sank probably 4" from stock.

I'm 6'4". I rebuilt and lowered my stock seat ($165), bought a Mustang Fringe Cover($75)and have a better ride than any Mustang seat. Added that $100 backrest last month and I'm in riding bliss. That $100 backrest we were discussing last month has turned out great and has self adjusted so that I am no longer pushed forward. It took about two gas tanks to adjust.

just bought the wide mustang seat with the driver backrest, pushes you forward a little but i cant really say its sits lower, but overall it does sit better than the stock 2001 seat, the backrest is great
