Bikers Friend Saddlebag 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Anyone have one of these? I will be riding from CA to DC next May and think something like this would be great for storage and back support. Any opinions?

I know some people with it. If you are riding one up its a great thing. Even better if you dont have a drivers back rest.

I will be riding one up. And I don't have a backrest other than the passenger seat for my mustang. Thanks

pricing seems on par with offering from other co's such as Kuryakyn and T-Bags. No experience with them. I've never had problems with t-bags and I know people who like the kury bags. My guess is its all good.

I probably can't afford the model with all those nice features. Also my wife wouldn't like for me to be spending money on something that nice.

If you have a luggage rack & sissy bar, this pack works really well:

I got it for 97 bucks in a honda store, and its loaded with features. In this picture it looks overly tall, but it isn't.

I have the large Biker Friends bag and love it. I bought it when I had a Honda VTX 1300 that didn't have a back rest and this worked great. I still have it and use it on my Roadstar at times for extra luggage. I wasn't crazy about the bungee straps that came with it. If you slip when pulling them tight you will have a scratche fender. I bought some flat nylon adjustable straps and cut to fit so they would not flap in the wind.

Listen if your going to buy a bag for traveling, buy a big bag. This is what I have and I love it.

http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=116&cat=17

Keep in mind I can get on the bike and go some place for a week. I also have my saddle bags for carrying my rain gear and tools.
But I can pack for a fairly long time with this puppy and its not even the really big one!
Now matter how much space you think you need, your not going to have enough.

I'm going on a road trip in Oct. (Atl., Gatlinburg, then to Charlotte) I do like the idea of a back support but like the looks of the tourmaster not sure which one to order
