I always tell clowns like that that I was under the impression that you had to actually OWN a bike to be a biker.

Yeah.... I don't understand the prejudice against Japanese bikes. They're beautiful, dependable, powerful, and fun. What's not to like? That dude didn't even RIDE!! That's the worst sort of poseur...

That still cracks me up

That's EXACTLY the picture I had before I hit the starter. Poor Frank.

Dude... I am never going to live that down...

I must say though, having a hawt Japanese wife in her trusty minivan riding to my rescue, did a lot to assuage the sting of my failure.

"... having a hawt Japanese wife in her trusty minivan riding to my rescue..." - I wish you had pics of that.

When a buddy of mine down in Houston T-boned a sign post after failing to negotiate a curve, his ER nurse wife made sure she got pics of him (w/a glazed over look in his eyes ... mostly a bruised ego), the bike and pole and proceeded to e-mail them out to everyone to show he was alright. But, I know better. It was her way of saying," See, THIS is why he won't be getting another bike."

I love the compliments, also. Last weekend on a ride to a biker meet, I stopped at McDonalds for a break and to meet my brother there. A car pulled in next to me when I was getting off my bike. A little old man and woman about 4 ft. tall walked right up to my bike and started admiring it and teling me what a beautiful machine it is. Then she told me about her son-in-law that rides and this and that. Just goes to show, even old, short people know a sweet looking bike when they see one!!!

I have to say when I first bought my *, I made the mistake of telling someone that "yeah I know it's not a harley. My Brother inlaw who is a die hard Harley rider told me "Always be proud of what you ride or don't ride at all". It's so true. So now I am PROUD owner of a *. I too get lots of complaments on my *.
