Hey Doc,
Actually not a play on words per say. And last winter, although the snowbanks at my place reached 14', wasn,t that cold.
I'm in the Sorel area.
Now 5-stars and Sorel area will make it pretty easy for you guys to know who I'm talking about, but please don't type their actual names until I post it. I'm genuinely concerned for my bike.

Certainly not .... it's not my experience, it's yours,so I would not presume to post anything.
There's a couple other members in the Montreal area so keep an eye out for them ... I was hoping you were closer.
Salut,
Doc

Thanks.
I know, although I haven't read any of their posts in a while.
As for the distance, actually, on a sunny day I'm right next door
Sunny day...now what exactly was that again?
That's another thing, the roadie is my daily vehicle. Rain or shine, 75-mile daily commute, all open road. And now I'm down to being just another cager.

When you go and talk to them about your bike or pick it up, take a couple of friends with you as witness. That way things shouldn't get out of control. I have had a couple of run in's where taking a couple of my overly large friends with me defused the situation. People like that tend to be all bad and tough in a pack (at their shop on home turf) but when they know more than one person is involved in the conflict, they tend to be a little more level headed.

Thanks Hotelfox.
Actually I'm merely 5'7 175lbs, but I'm also ex-military, ex-bodyguard and if scars are the roadmap of your life, as my mother used to tell me, then I've got mileage. However I've also made a decision some years ago to try and 'grow-out' of the scrapper I used to be, and who always ended up in trouble. Since then I've been (most of the time) much happier. On this note, thank you Soba for your post, know it's taking a lot of work.
For that very reason I'm seriously considering having the bike picked up by a friend and never even giving those 'people' a second-thought. They'll get their own in the end.

Taking a couple of friends sounds like a good idea... if it's the RIGHT friends. One should be your Lawyer friend and the other should be your LEO friend! LoL Now THAT would get their attention!

I didn't mean for you to take a couple of friends and blow the place up, I meant just for witness as to what goes on, having a friend pick it up isn't a bad idea at all. I would have some one look at it or you look at it when you get it back, its going to be ok, its only a bike... I can't believe I said that...

WOW , what a sorry state of affairs you've been saddled with! May I make a suggestion. Visit this dealer , and request a face to face meeting with the owner. Nothing Harsh. Your two big buddies can pretend they are interested in a bike , and occupy themselves with chrome and stuff.
Now , offer the man an olive branch , and tell him you believe that you and he have gotten off on the wrong foot. Ask him to kindly use His oil (after all , you are getting new rings with this job , and they will seat better with good ole dino oil , not synthetic) , and just tell him that the oil you brought was because that's what Dad ran. Then leave it alone.
You have been mistreated , but try from here to make the situation Better , not worse. No excuses , and certainly not defending his actions , but who knows what he was dealing with 5 minutes before you called?
Get your scoot back , run it a good 600 miles (break in), drop the oil , and go back with your Mobil 1 . Just a thought , hope everything works out for you. BB
