What's the best way of removing the badges without damaging the paint?
I used a hair dryer to loosen the glue and a piece of fishing line to slide under them and remove the badges.
Then a little clean up with Goof Off.

I would be really careful with the hairdryer, a piece of dental floss soaked in goo off works good also.

That's why I used a hair dryer and not a heat gun
I just wish I knew about that before I took off the sticker by the gas cap and on the windshield

Yep, Thom M...ditto to that. It took me about 2 hours to get the sticker off near the fuel cap and ended up with a lot of small scratches on the new windscreen.

Emu says....you guys have some top tips!

I'd like to say that makes me feel better, but it don't.
Now I know there are two roadies out there with scratched up windshields

Agree with Thom. Thats a good one.

You need to think about where you are going to put it. That decal is made for a flat surface, and the tank is contoured. So its going to have to fold/bunch up somewhere to get on there.

Another option might be to take a pic of it to a good airbrush guy and have him paint it on for you.
