Not to hijack this thread, but...

I think we're about to see a renewed emphasis on two-wheeled safety before long. With all the soccer moms, retired people and students now trying to avoid high fuel costs by buying scooters it's not gonna be long before some cager makes a grease spot out of one. It's sad, but true.

To continue the off-topic and then head back on-topic..

I think you're right Mark. There has already been an article in my local newspaper stating the increased endorsements and sales at local bike shops. High fuel prices are one reason I'm moving towards getting a bike, but I've also been interested in them for awhile now.. this is just an excuse to do it, but do it right. I'm signed up for a 3 day new rider course at the end of the month, and my 61 yr old dad has even signed up as well (I remember when I was about 5 he came home with an HD brochure, saying he was going to get one.. my mom shut that down).

*snip*

Most of 'em don't even know "the wave"

Haha.. I've joked that the new rider course goes over the basics for the first 2 hours and then concentrates on teaching "The wave".. accomplishing the right angle, hand position, etc.

Luckily, with threads like this I now know how to get my own annoying headlight "thing", cuz dammit, they're annoying but it has made me take notice every time I see one.

Safe travels to all.

The owners manual shows a 3 pronged connector, which would be an H4, I believe. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I use this one. It's literally "plug-n-play". $$ is right too. Add $15 to the cost of the modulator and you get the tail lite unit as well. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Modulator
