Haven't scraped them yet... :0)

3 grand for those wheels... They're nice. But, there's a lot to choices for that kinda $$$. IMO

I took a dremel tool to the plastic license plate frame that came with the bike and made an inspection sticker plate. I just loosen one side of the license plate and take it right off. Here are the custom wheels that Yamaha is offering for the *: http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acsubcontaineritems/5/18/91/423/all/1.aspx

Those are cheap... NOT. Always gets me how much the market wants for chrome wheels ($2700). Cheapest way is to have the wagon wheel chromed like tampa did or change out to fat spoke wheels like dj1duke did.

tampa, did you think of running a single rotor brake up front to show the wheel off better?

Yeah, I have.

Would have to replace with a 4-piston caliper to convert to a single rotor.

those wheels look dam good chromed i'm running a single front rotor with stock 2 piston caliper and braking is ok i also have a 4 piston R1 caliper that i tried and not much differance, I've read that the master cylinder is the key to getting the right feel for a single front brake but love the look and after spending as much money as i did for my wheels i will sacrifice a little braking but have never had a issue on the road so show it off !!!

Looks really nice Tampa I might do the same to the stock wheels once I paint the bike early next year.

I can actually ride it that low (my feet actually touch the ground).

In that case why did you use the brakes.

Very nice .... replacing the rear lollipops should round it out nicely.
