I have a similar jack from Sear - I found it for 1/2 off many years ago.

IT's a miracle!!! I've tried using first few times I cleaned my white walls they came out great with Simple Green and Fabuloso full strength... But, that stopped working after a while...
Then I stepped up to Greased Lightening... Wheels came out "whiter than white"...! Right up until the last few washes... Then they started to pick up some nastey black, moldy looking gunk that seemed to be embeded right into the rubber!!! Greased Lightening wouldn't touch it!
So, now what?!?
Well, back into the kitchen cleaner stash and see what's there... What turned up was Yep! "Bab-O"... Just like your mother (Or, grandmother...) used to use... (Only, I used the cream kind...) Works great!
Oh, and the ceramic stove top looks great too!

Simple Green full strength and a tooth brush just wash it off real good and don't get it on anything else.

SOS pads , old fashioned SOS pads. Work great , cheap. I worry about bleach white on the cast rims. Had problems in the past on car rims.I need to buy a lift also . Will go craftsman probably. Looking for it to go onasale . Meantime I lay on the ground.

OWW oooooooooooooo

i detail cars on weekends and the SOS pads...old style(basically same as new ones,no difference really just in terms) will make them white walls show room clean.

Ignore 'em long enough and you'll have brown walls.

Like robertjfoster said, Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I finally listened to wife a few months ago, and used the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. She was right, it not only works great, but a lot easier and faster also. The store brands seem to last a little longer, but have to scrub a little more. Still a lot faster than the Bleach White I've been using for years.

i am finding it a little difficult to find a real "winner" for the white wall cleaning session on my Silverado.

i have read many dated thoughts, but does anyone have something NEW - ya know, a new and improved way to get the Whitey's - really WHITE?

please let me know your findings.

thank you!!!

I used Wesley's Bleach White this weekend on the white walls and they look like new white walls now. They were pretty hammered with road grime. To keep the stuff off of my wheels I put the bike up on the stand and just sprayed half the tire and put my oil pan under the tire to collect the runoff. I let it sit for about 3-5 min and then used a sponge/scotchbrite pad and some water and just ran that over them a few times. Very little scrubbing. I put a little tire shine on a sponge and ran that along the sidewall afetr they dried and the tires look new.

I've always used the SOS pads. From back in the day. Produces brilliant white finish on any white wall.

Haven't read your whole thread but I can easily imagine why you posted the question. I had the same type curiosity about how best to clean spokes.

I found it's a lot of work, no gettin around it - but a necessary part of having what you have. Whatever goodie we put on em has it's share of "annual care" involved. The white walls are no different then the white letter tires we used to put on our muscle cars back in the 70's. Dunno if you are old enough to remember those days.

Scrub em. That's what I do.
A can of COMET and a DOBIE PAD (i.e. a kitchen dishwashing pad with plasic cover around a sponge) works wonders. I use my MC "lift" and spin the tire as I go. That's the simplist way I know of.

Ride Safe.......
