I got one not sure what brand it is but I like it. It isn't the real stiff one about 200 lbs over stock I think. One up I had to run it down to minimum. I took my lowering kit off got tired of draggin everything in the twisties.

I did the flip...bottomed out too! Went to the progressive...still bottomed out! Flipped back and got Barons lowering bars...still bottom out!

Others have had no problem?

Now that I think about it...maybe my shock is shot?

i don't think the shock being shot would make you bottom out it would just make it a little harsher of a ride

Went through the exact same things. There must not be enough travel to accomodate a fixed lowering kit. I'm thinking that the only way to use them is to be about 150 lbs. That option waved by by to me years ago. Maybe it's going to require dipping into the slush fund for an air ride.

I'm only 170 lbs but I agree air ride is the way to go. Only problem my fund is out of slush.

i have been thinking about an air ride for a very long time...with my crushed disk itd be nice to have a cadillac ride on the bike, and awesome to have the adjustability...i might scrap all of my winter projects and just do the air ride instead, probably a worthwhile investment

I have a 2001 Midnight Roadstar Silverado and my brother has a 2006 roadstar. Both are stock but his sits atleast 2" lower than mine. He'll scratch his foot boards on tight turns were as I can't even come close.

Is this the difference in some years or models.
My point being I can't imagine him being able to lower his bike at all!
