I wasnt one of the lucky ones, I didnt notice the bike being quieter when I went to the syn. I had high hopes, but it didnt change mine. Some bikes like it, some don't.

Same here. I just put in some Mobil 1 Vtwin 20-50 and for some reason it feels like its a little more sluggish at highway speeds

The oil I took out was filthy too! So I can't imagine why it wouldn't run better! My bike even sounds slightly different to me. What gives? Who knows...

If you have a knock still, near the end of your oil service pull out 14 ozs and add 14 back of Lucas Oil Stabilizer, If there is really nothing wrong with it, it should quiet it down. Although at least one person tried with no luck.

Car oil is for Cars, boat oil is for boats. Yes it will work in a MC but there are additives that prevent corrosion amongst other things formulated for Bikes. Your engine won't blow because it meets the service spec, but it will do it harm in other ways long term. Especially to the occasional rider.

I used to pick up oil at the factory where they package it, It all starts out same oil and as it goes down the line they add things for certain applications and at the end we have like 12 different name brands and 9 different applications, all due to the additives. It really caught my eye because the Wal Mart Oil was coming from the same tank as the "High Dollar Oil" so I asked someone and they gave me the tour.

Soon after I became an Amsoil user and then dealer. At least I know whats in that.

But all for use what you think is best and what's convenient to use, I wish Amsoil was off the shelf myself.

Synthetic is always going to out do Dyno. Do they ever launch dyno oil into space?

MC
