Same as javawave for me. No improvement with noise but it sure does shift easier. I'm in Texas and I do believe temperature is a factor. It sure was noisy in the summer but seems to quiet down a bit with cooler temperatures. The bike is an absolute steal when you consider price. Enjoy.
