Clearcoat Chipping 5 Years, 5 Months ago
Hi guys,

The clearcoat in my 05 Silverado's front rim is starting to chip. The largest area is found around the circumference of the wheel, right in the brim that touches the tire.

Any reccomendations on how to stop / fix this problem.

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Buy custom rims.

That's a tough area to keep any kind of paint on but you can touch it up with a clearcoat pen.

Doc, can I ask where you purchased your rims? They are sweet and fit perfectly with the overall look of your machine, IMO. I can only imagine what you've got invested, how the heck am I going to get there as soon as possible and where's my wife going to sit?

Very, very nice. (green with envy)
