I was skeptical that I'd be able to notice a difference in handling by simply changing brands of tires. I'm a believer now. The bike actually feels nimble and that surprised the bejezus out of me.

My dealer actually did me right with the install, so he's got a nice big smiley face next to the mental image of the shop now.

Thanks to all the guys out there who sang the praises of these tires. I'll be joining that choir next time the question is posted.

I'm in the process of changing over in that I have one on my front. when my rear goes then I'll replace it w/ a me880 as well. One thing I've already noticed though is that the white in the whitewall seems thin and its almost like I'm scraping it off when I clean my whitewalls. kind of surprised with such a pricey tire. I do like the feel of it though. And its so much quieter than the bridgestones that came stock.

I think I'm going that route. I'm on my second set of Bridgestones, the rear has 5800 miles on it and is measuring 3/32 in the center. I don't think its going to see 7000 like the original. I did a lot more two up riding this past year. Mind if I ask what you paid for just the tires? The cheapest I have found on line was through the Motorcycle Pro Shop.

mark7 did you get the me880 marathons? That's what I have, they are a world better than the bridgestone's that were on mine.

Hey fore the best darn tire rates in town call 1-800-general-now. LOL Just kidding. People here in Cali. will get that joke.

Yeh I have squezzed 18,000 out of my rear (german made) Metz. The brazillian ones do not wear as long. Matter of fact it is just now getting to the nylon cord as i speak. Waiting on a new DURO BLVD. It has been backordered for three weeks now.

I tryed the pirelli Routes also but they wear way to quick. I ordered the front and rear Duros from American Tire Depot for $137.00 with shipping. I will let you all know how they last and perform when I get the back one. Have had the front on now for 1,000 miles and am very impressed.

By the way the DUROS have a 4 ply sidewall.

We get that joke in Ohio too Topnotch. I wish the general was only in California. Anyway....Mark, Big difference huh. You can cruise like a Roadie and hit the twists like a Hyabusa 13. Have fun with the new bike.

Motormike... just as a starting base on price...my dealer offered me mine at 171.00 for the rear and 120.00 front. I'm shopping around too for my next set. Now if I can just get my wife to understand why I need a new set of pipes everytime I swap out the tires.
