Still waiting for chrome $$'s got one quote for $100 for each one! He said if I made 100 of them he could cut it half Told them they could shove it. I'm writing this so all that are interested in this grab bar understand WHY it costs $$$$$. I just talked w/ my machinest friend & he told me about the same cost. $40-45/set, min. 30 sets. Add in formed/ rolled DOM seamless tube, tig weld, dress up welds, & chrome. I'll have names/numbers of chromer's tomorrow. this is why the bar costs $170+ & there really isn't any profit in it.QUESTION to all interested parties, are you guys willing to spend the money ? If enough say yes, I'll proceed. I really winced at spending the $$ when I bought mine and even bought a "blem" which I can't really even tell whats wrong it. I was very impressed with the quality and get all kinds of compliments. After all its the American way. The guy I bought mine from is on the list w/ Landon to get another at an increase in price. I believe it to be worth the price to have one whether you are riding solo or not. Like someone said in an earlier post... dont forget Landons order over at the Road Star Riders? Havent seen a post since 19 July.
