Spring 3 Years, 7 Months ago
Was just wondering if any one has used the Progressive spring from PCS. I have put the dogbones on lowering my bike and now bottom out when riding 2 up. Between the 2 of us we are riding around around 270 lps... It have all ready cranked the tension up on the original spring and still bottom out. I was just wondering if any one else has used the spring and if they like it.

Thanks

Ron

I got the progressive spring and HIGHLY recommend it. It gives me a nice ride solo OR 2 up. as you add weight the spring gets stiffer to compensate. I've been very happy with mine.

Steven

BTW I also recommend replacing the front springs to progressive too you won't be sorry.

Man, when I saw this thread heading... I thought "someone is already asking a question about Spring," you know, the season....!

I was thinking that I was the only one wishing it was spring already.... and I hate wishing my life away... but even more, I hate the thought of covering that motorcycle up.

Rono...I have recently installed the Baron - Heavy Duty Rear Shock Spring XV1600/1700 [BA-8523RD]. After installing the lowering kit (Baron Relay Arm) I found that I was bottoming out too often. With the HD spring I'm a happy Emu again.

Just another option.

BTW...there's a couple of previous threads on this subject that attracted quite a range of comments from others with similar experiences.

Me 2...i thought Emu was rubbing it in as he is in spring and approaching summer, i think

On a somewhat related subject, how do you know if your shock is gone or when to replace it. I'm bottoming out quite a bit also, with a 2006.

Gidday Cass..mate, this is without doubt the best time of the year for us. You're spot on. We're enjoying spring and will be heading into hot weather shortly....sun and surf

Have you tried adjusting the suspension mate? You might just have to tweak it up a bit.
