Chief Vintage = $35,499.00 What everyone thinks about when you say "An Indian"
Chief Standard = $30,999.00 stripped down version almost looks like a Roadliner

And it looks like they made a few visual changes from it's last incarnation. To the worse, I think. I almost bought a leftover '01 back in '02. That was a fine looking machine!

Yea... I'd like to know how many of those high priced motorcycle owners are rethinking their choice with this economy and that big bike payment every month.

I'm guessing they serve a different client base than most of the other brands. One of those if you have to ask, you cant afford it things. Like owning a yacht.

I had seen the MSRP on the website but it also said they were chain drive... and they are definetely belt driven this year... if that be the case, their clientell is NOT the class that will need to borrow money for a Motorcycle.....Only thing is.... I seriously doubt that there are that many customers out there with that much money that has the taste for that type of Bike.... they would ride "B-mers", on the other hand.... I rode a Goldwing the other day.... can't imagine much better than that.

Yeah, they will be out of business again within 2 years. They can't compete with HD, the new bikes have not been tested, the warranty is probably worthless, plus they are about $15K over a HD. I'm sure they will sell some, but not enough to stay in business.

Actually, I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area (peninsula) and know for a fact that there are MANY people who would buy one of these at the drop of a hat. They're FILTHY rich, and a lot of them own multiple HDs. It's pretty sickening how people in that area are just dripping in wealth, and are commonly seen with the best of the best (car/suv, motorcycle, house/mansion, etc.). This is one of the reasons I just couldn't live there anymore... the people (in general) are really hard to relate to. (not you UltraStar)
