I have no idea what their business model is. They may do fine. I almost bought an Indian Chief last go round. A friend of mine had an Indian dealership in Vermont and he tried to get me to purchase his last bike when Indian went out then. He sells Yamaha now.

I'm guessing they serve a different client base than most of the other brands. One of those if you have to ask, you cant afford it things. Like owning a yacht.

Yea, I expect you're are right about that.

Hi Guys I have been listening to some of you about the Indian back in its day I was a great bike but when they started making them again in Gilroy CA one of my best friends was there head inspector and he wold get to bring one home every now and then and he let me ride both the scout and the chief and after riding each of them I could see why they didn't take off in sales, if the wind blow you moved with it, power not enough to make me want to buy one as for the cost right up there with HD and Victory.
Sense my buddy ( by the way is hard core HD man ) was the head inspector he was part of the team that disassembled all of the the other brands of bikes to see exactly what made then tick, when I bought my Road Star he came out and told me that I made the perfect choice and that the Road Star was a better bike.
Just his and my opinion

Face facts: The Indian name is just a marketing tool. The only resurrection of a bike company that holds water is Triumph. John Bloor's company produces machines that PERFORM. That is what Triumph was known for. His great achievement, however, is that the new bikes are supremely reliable, just as the Japanese brands are. If I have the duckies when I go bike hunting again, I'm getting one. Probably a T100, since that is the most "honest" all-rounder in the bunch. If I lose my SV, It's a Street Triple. I love the 675 Daytona, but I can't fit 6'2" and 240 behind the windscreen!

got a 1050 speed triple in here at the moment for a numberplate and indicator change (for some which are smaller and better looking)

short, brutal no-nonsense looks and i can fit my 6ft 5" frame onto it without any probs.

GREAT fun to ride. you just GOTTA be naughty on them!
